Call for Prayer

Hannah Wright, CRU

As I ready myself to go to Australia this coming month I keep thinking how great God is and how He has blessed me in numerous ways.

Today, two weeks before I hope to leave, I am asking for prayer that my support will continue to come in.

God has put on my heart the lost and broken in a land where the Gospel is needed.

Looking at my goal specifically, I am in need of a little over $1,000 in monthly and a little over $9,000 in one time support. I know that this is a small task for God looking at what a provider He is. He sustains us in so many ways even though the air we breath and the sun that touches our skin.

My prayer is that God will continue to challenge me as He has been and that He would provide a way for me to go to Newcastle, Australia.

I am extreamly encouraged by everyone who has stepped up already and felt God calling them to give through their support and prayer.

In Christ who strengthens us,

Hannah Wright

Right now I am getting ready to go to Newcastle, Australia with Campus Crusade for Christ who is now CRU. I will be there with this team for a year to start out. In the picture of Australia, Newcastle is just North of Sydney in the lower right quadrant of the continent. The other photo is my team — from left to right: Nick (our team leader and local Aussie,) Erin (the other American girl besides myself and soon to be roomie,) Me (I’M MISSING,) Jodi (another Aussie who has a heart for the Lord,) Ben (an Aussie who has followed God’s calling over his own desires,) and last, Ryan (A fun-loving, God fearing, fellow ‘Portlander’)

God is With Me (Russia)

Matthew 28:20 “…and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.”

5:00 am,  Mommy drove Cody and I to the church where we would meet with our team who would be headed for Moscow, Russia. Beth and Joseph, Amy McCormick, Matt Turkington, and Daniel Sanders were all there to see us off and pray for us. I was encouraged to see my good friend, Beth. She had planned to be a part of our team, and just maybe I was being self-centered, but I thougt in my heart there should not be any reason for her not to go, not even the fact that she had gotten engaged and was soon to be married. I see now, though, that it was essential that she stay to plan her wedding. I find often that I am selfish when I know that it is wrong. Lord be with me; Help me to not be selfish. I thank you for good friends who encourage me and pray for me. Lord, my God, you are good.

Months prior to this day, my bible study leaders, Meredith Robison and Amy McCormick, had taken Beth, Katy Vanderzanden, and I out to breakfast. In the time that we had been in their bible study, they had seen much growth in us and asked us to pray about and apply for the up coming mission trip to Moscow, Russia. That was just the beginning of our journey.

As I stood surveying the team, luggage scattered about our feet, I think I did not know quite what we were heading towards. God had all of us there for a reason.

Jesus, My Lord, my God, my All

Jesus, my Lord, my God, my All,
Hear me, blest Savior, when I call;
Hear me, and from Thy dwelling place
Pour down the riches of Thy grace;
Jesus, my Lord, I Thee adore;
O make me love Thee more and more.

Jesus, too late I Thee have sought;
How can I love Thee as I ought?
And how extol Thy matchless fame,
The glorious beauty of Thy Name?
Jesus, my Lord, I Thee adore;
O make me love Thee more and more.

Jesus, what didst Thou find in me
That Thou hast dealt so lovingly?
How great the joy that Thou hast brought,
So far exceeding hope or thought!
Jesus, my Lord, I Thee adore;
O make me love Thee more and more.

Jesus, of Thee shall be my song;
To Thee my heart and soul belong;
All that I have or am is Thine;
And Thou, blest Savior, Thou art mine;
Jesus, my Lord, I Thee adore;
O make me love Thee more and more.
